What is doggy daycare?

Dog Daycare is a place for dogs to have socialization and exercise in a supervised environment. The dogs interact and play together off-leash, both indoors and out. Dogs learn proper manners from the other dogs and staff, and learn to function within the pack.

SOCIALISE

Some dogs may experience separation anxiety when their families are at work. Having a dog pack and other humans around will often help alleviate some of the symptoms of severe separation problems.

REWARD

Some dogs love to play with the pack so much that parents will bring them as a reward or special treat.

EXERCISE

Some families of energetic dogs may not have the time to get their dog the exercise it needs. Daycare is a great way to let the dogs release excess energy when your time is limited. Dogs who don’t get enough exercise develop behavioral problems.

Our Staff

The Poco’s Playhouse staff is well-trained in proper dog handling/psychology, behavior, and first aid. We work with dogs in daycare to teach them how to play properly in a group setting. Playhouse staff must complete an extensive working interview, in order to ensure that each person will be of proper temperament and will make a good addition to the Pooch Patrol.

Reminder: Full or Long Day cards can be split into half days. If you have a full day card, the half is 4 hours. If you have a long day card the half day is 6hrs. Half day cards cannot be split.

Luxury Boarding Suites

The luxury suites, known as Baron’s Bed & Barkfest, includes 16 cozy rooms of various sizes. Some rooms have windows for natural light, bean bag chairs, beds and futons. All rooms include radio, several potty breaks, and two minimum play times per day. Daycare is optional and is half price while your dog is boarding.
